About Our Partnership

The projects were developed by two groups: one, in a collaboration between the University of Campinas (Unicamp) and the Boeing-Embraer Joint Research Center on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), and the second, in a partnership between Agroicone and the RSB. Both projects were supported by the Boeing Company. Information compiled and validated by the Unicamp-Boeing-Embraer project includes suitability of each feedstock in areas within one of the 12 Brazilian States in scope, besides the economics of the supply chains, data about potential pathways-refining process and aspects of sustainability. The Agroicone-RSB-Boeing project, on the other hand, provides a spatial explicit database on the availability of residues for the production of SAF throughout the Brazilian territory. The main goal for both projects is to provide interested stakeholders with an overview of the potential availability of promising feedstock for the production of SAF in Brazil. The information available in this platform can be visualized in the format of maps, reports and case studies related to each specific feedstock.
